KISA is looking to recruit youth, aged 15-25 years of age interested in music/drama for the NICeR project!
More precisely, we are looking for 15 young recognised refugees and 15 young non-refugees (asylum seekers, migrants, Turkish-Cypriots, Greek-Cypriots) with a basic knowledge of Greek/English who can take part in music, drama and Greek language workshops. The drama/music workshops run every Saturday from 14:00 – 17:00 and will be on until the end of May. During the workshops, young people are guided by a music, drama and linguistic coach. The final staging of the production will take place in May.
More precisely, NICer is a transnational European Commission funded 2 year project for equal participation between young refugees and non-refugees in Europe. KISA (Cyprus) is cooperating with 6 organisations – Aidrom (Romania), Citizens for Europe (Germany), Fundacion Juventud (Spain), Maison des Cultures (Belgium), Pluralis (Belgium), RARE studio (Liverpool) and CIOFS as the leading partner from Italy. Please find below a description of the project on our website for your perusal: https://kisa.org.cy/8854-2/
The project focuses on increasing the integration of young refugees and non-refugees in various fields, in education through the writing of a pedagogical guide on how to effectively manage the theme of refugees and integration in the classroom context, intercultural and language ateliers for refugee and non-refugee youths et cetera.
